1. Getting Started

Scan your art about 300dpi or higher, and clean up your image. You can do this by converting the art to a bitmap and adjusting the Image > Adjustments > Threshold and then go back to RGB mode to get the cleanest lines possible. We will also be using the Lasso tool extensively so if you have it, a tablet could be most useful.

Create a new layer and set its mode to Multiply, Also create another layer, move it down and fill with a white color to be the background.
