Introduction: Advanced Drawing with IllustratorIn this tutorial, I’ll show you how I approach a full vector painting with Illustrator and Flash combined. I used Illustrator CS, Flash 8 and a mouse for this, but I’m pretty sure that this will work in any version of these programs. The reason why I use Illustrator in the first place is, that it’s made for print. Even if you can do the same things in Flash the fact that you can’t really produce extremely big prints with it is a big downside to the program. Not to forget that Illustrator offers a lot of drawing tools that are not needed in Flash since it’s primarily an animation and web content-creation tool. Anyway. I used the vector from another tutorial, which was begging for a scene, so to speak and after a couple of hours, I came up with my “Matter of Perspective” piece:
