1. General Notes

  1. When I came across the reference picture, I noticed that some parts were a bit pixelated. So I went online to search for some better reference pictures. ‘Better’ in this case means bigger pictures. I wasn’t looking for another reference that was taken at the same angle of my reference, but I was trying to get a basic understanding of the whole car i.e. I was trying to get a ‘feeling’ for the car.

  2. I used only a few tools for the whole vector: the line tool for the outlines; the paint bucket tool for color fills and the gradient transform tool for manipulating gradient fills.

  3. There’s not a single ‘solid’ fill in this vector. This obviously took a lot of patients, but it paid off in the end, because up to now, this is my most detailed vector of a car.

  4. I generally spend equal time on anything i.e. even if the windshield has less detail than the rims have, it took me the same time to do it.
