Doing some music/xml/interface work at the moment and wanting to know if there is a solution to this problem.

Client is thinking about getting music xml (which is just regular old xml with music data in it) and having it appear online, in a flash app, but with all the bars, notes, etc generated dynimcally, by flash.

I was going to make one myself, then I realised how many thousands of graphics and combinations there were, and thought I better consult the community before I say its too hard, too expensive and too much trouble.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

The XML that music making programs generate is pretty good, all the data is there, there is heaps of support and apps out there, I just couldn't find anything that translates the xml into visual graphics.

Any ideas or help would be super!

There are at least two Flash-based MusicXML viewers/editors: Noteflight and Legato. Also check out the Myriad Music Plug-in: not Flash, but a good web plug-in for MusicXML files. Good luck!
