Google Code
Old 2005-03-17

In yet another unexpected move, everyone's favourite search giant today made public Google Code where it will make its APIs and open source projects available.

There isn't much new in the API side, but for now Google has made four projects open source and available through SourceForge, they range from kernel related tools to Python libraries and C++ code useful with templates for multi-threading.

If we are to believe the FAQ, tons of new code is to be released soon. Most of this code was created through the employees' "20% free time" .
I really do find it all.

That's probably because you have a full Flash website and the <meta> tags you use could be worked on a bit. You don't have a "description" tag for example, and I didn't see any <noframes> sections either.

But this isn't the right thread to discuss it.
