Heavy CSS, Javascript tricked out website redesign. Please review!

Hi! I redesigned my website which based heavily on both CSS and Javascript. These are some out of the box design and effects that came to me. It might look cool but it might not be suitable for websites. So far, I've tested the website on Firefox 1+2 on Mac Linux and PC, IE 6+7 on PC, Opera 9 on PC, and Safari on Mac. The only thing that I've notice very non-stable is with the "onScroll" method.

The following browsers lag BIG time with OnScroll method:
1. Linux FireFox 1 & 2 (2 of my friends said ok, 3 of others said it lags...???)
2. Mac FireFox 1 & 2
3. PC Opera 9

Well other than that... I have worked around almost everything. But please test it out for me! Feel free to shoot me with suggestions, comments, opinion!

Anyway, here's the link:

Thanks guy!

Really nice work !! I really like the way you have chosen to show your portfolio. I was confused at first on how to scroll between different projects but got it after some time.

Some really good use of JS and CSS here. bookmarking this

That is some pretty slick CSS and JS you got there. I do agree it does lag significantly on Opera 9. I just wonder if it is possible to use a higher resolution image when the jpegs are scrolled through? This way they wouldn't look so pixelated when they are upscaled. Really nice use for CSS and JS for you site. x2

I'm very sorry, it was down for 2~3 hours. I just called hosting company and they fixed the issue. It is definitely up running now!

Thank you for the comments. One thing I really need to do is get mouse-wheel working (That's what the mouse wheel is for right... for people too lazy to scroll...). I should try bumping up the resolution of the images like John said, hopefully it wouldn't be as pixely when enlarged.

Crazy cool!

I'm using 64 bit Ubuntu Linux and it wasn't lagging much at all. I have nothing else to compare to though but it went pretty smooth for me. Firefox is generally slower on Linux than the Windows and Mac versions but FF 3 is crazy fast on Linux (http://www.poppa.se/blog/firefox-3-thunderbolted/).

Again, stunning work you've done there
