[talk] - Quick JavaScript Test... Please

Hi guys,

If you have a minute to spare could you please pop over to here quickly and test my Flash Player detection. Someone is telling me that the detection routine I use isn't working in Safari (windows) and Opera (windows) but I think he is just being a c0ck for one reason or another. I have tested it in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, and Safari (all windows browsers) and it seems to be working fine.

One note... Safari (windows) takes a few seconds to initialise the ActiveXObject when you first run the test, so if you test that browser just hang on for the result.

Thanks Ultrashockers.

Oh, don't forget to let me know which browsers you run the test in.

"Safari can’t open the page “http://www.neondust.local/tmp/detect/” because it can’t find the server “www.neondust.local”." - Safari Vista Ultimate

"Could not locate remote server" - Opera Vista Ultimate

Ok, now detecting properly in Windows: FF3, Opera, IE7, IE8, Flock 1. As for Safari Windows I can't help you. I have the beta 10 version of FP installed and as far as I can tell FP10 doesn't work at all with Safari Windows....like I said yesterday..$hite.

Thanks guys. I was pretty sure the script was working but I needed to make sure. I've obviously just been given the run-around by some muppet for the best part of the day.
