How fast is your computer CPU?
Old 2003-05-30

With processing power getting really cheap lately, Ultrashock is wondering what processor power you use to surf our boards.
::: Are you ready for a creative power? ::: : : .

How about you all go home and cry, 'cause 3 days ago (yes, it was my birthday), I got my Dual Athlon 2600+ ... that's about 4GHZ for me .. ... Sadly, XP doesn't really support dual processing too much ... !!

colorblind, what kind of motherboard are you running - are those just Athlon XP's? I wanted a dual processor, but I didn't think XP supported it.

NMC, I run a MSI K7D Master. They brought out a enhanced version not to long ago ... the old one could only run Athlon MPs with around 1900 MHZ, but the new one supports up to 2600+ ... !!

XP doesn't really support dual processing as far as letting you split the work, but it very well respects both processors and uses the power of both .. !!

Couldn't we have a "What's you total MHz?" poll.. that would be 2.5 GHz + 1.2 GHz + 300 MHz + 200 MHz = 4.2 GHz!

And yes athlon does have dual proccesor support. Its just under a different naming convention. The dual procceser athlons are called "MP" meaning "multiple processer". And Also there is the new Opteron, which is a 64-bit processer that is dual (Or more) and very powerful, made by amd as well.

800 MHz... not enough !
I'm using a AMD Duron 800 MHz since 2001 ... but it's not enough for my needs, especially that I only got 128 MB of RAM.

I'm hearing some news about that as well. I'm also anxious to find out what "Panther" is all about. I think we're in for some very nice news this month!
