Are all of those exclamation marks and question marks really necessary?

The Burn Tool darkens an area of an image; the Dodge Tool lightens an area of an image. (These tools are based on photographic development techniques for controlling exposure on specific areas of a print.) that wasnt very "nutrox" of you Si !!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you have a problem with my exclamation marks, ROLF It’s not entirely different from using Levels or Curves. The difference is that you are not applying the changes to the entire image; you’re applying them only to the places you paint with the brushes

The burn tool stems from the old school Photography tool of actually burning (or darkening) the colours and contrast of a photograph. The best way to learn what the tool does is to mess about with it. Burning highlights will make them blacker, burning shadows will make the colours more saturated (richer) and burning midtones is somewhere in between. hth |
