2advanced backgrounds

Hi guys, i was just wondering how i could create backgrounds like they have on http://www.2advanced.com I think they look stunning, and add to the overall effect of the website. Here is an image as an example.

There is actually entire tutorials on this. Do some searches on matte painting and you will find them. Heres one I found in a quick search. If you look around enough you might even find the same tutorials Eric Jordan used to make some of those.
