Art Director:
An Art Director is responsible for conceptual development and the execution of creative deliverables. These responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies and developing interactive design solutions. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Art Director will work with and lead a collaborative team of designers, copywriters, information architects, content analysts, audio designers and production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, this person will demonstrate an ability to justify concepts to both the client and the project team.


Position Requirements:
• Strong design portfolio with 4+ years education, 2+ years design and interactive work experience.
• Experience leading a team of designers, production specialists and writers to creative excellence.
• Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution.
• Demonstrates creative ideas within constraints of the online environment.
• Communication skills.
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
• A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience with optimization of web-based graphics and animations.
• Able to deconstruct and resize interactive flash ads with intricate video, audio, and progressive content streams, into various sizes and third party formats.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with quick turnarounds.

Flash Designer:
If you are a self-motivated proactive kick ass human, with strong design skills (or at least mad talent), decent or better flash skills, and a desire to rock hard in online space with a rad team, then hit us up. Interactive Developer:
AvatarLabs seeks to add a Front and Back-End Interactive Developer to our growing team of technical goodness. Bring your OOP weapons of mass function to the Hollywood funk show and help us in our quest to impress all the movie studios, awesome corporate clients, and other progressively cool companies that we work for and with. We're a group of cool professionals who love mixing it up and creating the next generation of interactive web-sites, games, rich media banners, and online apps.

Ideal candidates are seasoned professionals who are capable of wearing multiple hats to help the team succeed.

Position Requirements:
• Experience working independently as well as with a team of at least 3-5 programmers.
• Experience with rich internet application development.
• Development of games and rich experiences for banners and rich media.
• Design background is a plus, but not required.
• Awards & recognition is considered a major plus (FWA or other).
• 2 + years expertise with Javascript :
Ajax, json, and related packages
Prototype & scriptaculous, mootools, yahoo ui library, jQuery, Qooxdoo, dojo, and other frameworks.
• 2 + years expertise with Object-Oriented Design Patterns
• 2 + years expertise with Flash ActionScript, 2, 3:
Knowledge of flash's limitations, and capabilities.
Ability to integrate with flash applications via javascript in the DOM.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Flex 3’s capabilities and limitations.
Knowledge of adobe AIR's js capabilities and limitations is a plus.
• 3 years expertise with Data Integration formats:
Xml, rpc, rss, xls, and related data formats.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Work cooperatively with the Creative and Client Service departments to translate visual designs, user experience flows and content into functional interfaces optimized for rich media and dynamic site experiences
• Develop rich web 2.0 applications for the flash platform, working with design and back-end teams to achieve the best end product possible.
• Troubleshoot and resolve browser-based incompatibilities and technical issues with third party vendors and help us establish a quality assurance testing process.
• Provide technical expertise
• Develop internal libraries and applications that increase our capabilities and our ability to efficiency deliver outstanding creative.
• Participate in the creative process and provide conceptual interfaces that the creative group can use.
