Free & of Good Quality Libraries for the designer
Old 2003-05-05

Hello,

Which Free or Non-free libraries do you use to integrate into your designs?

I don't mean entry-level clipart libraries that come with something like Microsoft Word, but HIGH quality images that can be adjusted for size (so it is better if its a vector library), color applied, then used as a part of your web/print designs. (Kinda like the free common libraries that come with Flash)

I searched for a while today, but could not find anything decent.

I know that some of us like to keep these "trade secrets" to ourselves, but still.. i thought we'd give it a shot.

Thanks

Allright Smartypants :)
I agree with you

However.. I am not a very good drawer. I can design around photography, layout, video, audio, actionscript, but when it comes do drawing i produce mediocre results.

Most of the site is complete, but i kinda need small (25x25) or scalable down, good quality buttons that represent links like Satellite Services, About Us, etc. --

Easy. For example use Wingdings. Or draw vectorally over something, scale it down. Or just draw a small satellite icon or an envelope, but i want to look around, see if it can be even better. On the overall layout i see that if it would help if i added something in the quality of say, XP icons. Another issue is time.

That's why i need that help. In terms of sites or links I mean.

Thanks.

the main problem with stock clipart is to find a series that match.
