Has anyone ever experienced loading performance problems with 64 bit Internet Explorer?
I'm having some issues with a collection of movies, used is an animated material for a Papervision/Flash presentation, loading into memory.
(A sphere with an animation mapped to it, and a free camera in the middle to look around. Basically a VR walkthrough experience)
Here are the differences I'm experiencing on each browser.
IE 32 bit: Works fine, the way its supposed to.
IE 64 bit (this is the culprit!!): The movie starts out right away, being really jerky, and even gets locked up for awhile, until the ENTIRE movie is buffered. Then it seems to work fine.
Firefox: Same as IE 32 bit.
What could be causing IE 64 bit to be loading the entire collection of movies right away instead of just loading what's necessary
Here's the link to the site...Check it out on all 3 browsers if you can.
When it opens up, Click "Take Tour", choose "Man" or "woman", Click the Next button when it comes up. Rollover one of the windows and choose "On my Own" Then click "Enter"
It will load a brief little intro animation of you walking into the plane, then it will allow you to walk around on your own using your mouse...to walk forward use the Left mouse button.
