Really really nice. Innovative way to show off your CMS system to new clients while still showing off your work!

Why? They have a style that works for them and their clients, and works extremely well on the web. Their new site oozes technical quality and usability, and unlike some other companies *cough FI cough* they don't need to rebrand themselves every year or so.

You could have given the site more than 0% though.

Bombshock for sure on this site!

g94's style just continues to improve with every site. I love how this site is completely different compared to work they have done in the past. I also like the little glimpse into their CMS system, and how you can modify their site a bit.

Keep up the good work g94.

Like I said ... I love it! But I always believed that the bombshock is given for something more than just "works fine" material ... but that's just a thought

And the 0% was some kind of a bug ... this is what I meant

I got to tell you, i dont believe this is just "works fine" material, its a great site, with a CMS integrated which you can use and see the results in the moment, thats i quite innovative, besides like Isocase said, this site is very different from their previous one, so it is innovative in their style too.

Very nice looking site.

Constructive criticism: Occasionally the copy reads a little clumsily. It's a shame to risk tarnishing the very slick image with some minor grammatical smudges.

E.g. on the portfolio page: " ... it is matter of figuring out a site concept and creating an interface that ... " is missing an "a", and "figuring out" sounds to me a bit sloppy..

Would be better if it said " ... it is a matter of creating a site concept and interface that ... "

I hope that doesn't sound negative, I know people can be a bit sensitive to criticism here. It's constructive feedback, people

That is far from constructive criticism blibbka, you are just being grammatically anal. G94 is based in Sweden so English isn't their native language. Anyway, why post that now? The current G94 site has been online for about a year and this thread was posted 10 months ago.

Hi Nutrox. Sorry, I didn't spot the date. It's been a while since I visited Ultrashock and perhaps I just assumed that whatever was on the Bombshock winners page was fairly recent.

Still, I stand by my comments regarding grammar, and respectfully disagree that it's not constructive.

I am aware that English is not their native language, and at no point do I say that Belgians should be fluent in English. So what's your point? That good copy is only important when it's written in your first language?

If I was pitching for work in Belgium and so produced a site written in Dutch (yes, I know that Dutch is not the only language spoken in Belgium), there would probably be various grammatical errors in there.

Whether Dutch is my native language or not, to an audience of Dutch speakers it'll read poorly. Should I expect them to make exceptions for me? No, of course not.

If I'm asking the audience to trust me to make a website for their company, they have every right to expect that I can be trusted not to stumble on the copy, whether it's in my first language or not.

Furthermore, if someone with Dutch as their first language came along to me and said "hey, nice site, but there's a few errors in the copy that you should look at". I can't see why I would have a problem with that. I'd like to know about it so I can get it fixed. Free advice: Great!

Your reply suggests that you think copy is unimportant. So you've never used a copywriter or a proof-reader on a project? On the other hand, if you think copy is important, then surely it's useful to have someone point out problems?

Cheers

blibbka, you have highlighted some good points there. I didn't want to start a debate about grammar in this thread because this really isn't the place for it, your initial reply just seems very picky to me. A lot of copy on sites, including corporate sites such as Adobe and Microsoft, could be grammatically tidied up a bit. Copy is important for sure but communication is all that matters at the end of the day... in my opinion.
