Adobe CS3 Master Edition
Old 2007-10-21

I'm looking to upgrade to the new Adobe CS3 Master edition (for my small business) and was almost ready to fork out the $2500 for it but then tried some ebay searches and found it for much cheaper. I realize there are a lot of scammers on ebay but could it actually be possible that sellers can offer what they claim as the Full Retail, non registered, NOT academic, packaged product for about $1500? Just as an example:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA:IT&ih=007
The user has lots of positive feedback, etc... Anyway I just wanted to see if this is somehow to good to be true? Like is it somehow an illegal copy?? I also notice a lot of the autions they give a part number (for example something like: PN# 19600060). With this PN can you somehow contact Adobe to make sure it's legit?

Just make sure you get the boxes, manuals, and the license number(s). You can pretty much guaranty it is legit if the seller is supplying those. If any of those are missing then you might want to think twice before purchasing it.

Just MHO.

Oh, and make sure you purchase the correct version ( windows/mac ).

You might also make sure that they are willing to work with you/Adobe to transfer the license if they have registered it.

Was there any follow up to this? Were you able to save some money and get a legit product and license etc.
I'm considering doing the same thing with web premium.

I still haven't decided... If I do though I will let you know if it works out.

Buy an older version off of ebay and then buy the upgrade from adobe. :-) You will save a ton of money.

Hey, I ended up actually purchasing a license for the Production Suite off ebay and everything worked out great. Got the retail box with all the manuals and it's registered with Adobe, etc. I ended up paying $999 US which was quite a bit cheaper than online at adobe. So I guess you can get decent deals but be careful!
