There's nothing wrong with using open source software for personal or commercial purposes, software is software (I think that is what wraevn was saying). Firefox is open source, you probably use that to browse the web and/or test websites. The Flex Framework is open source, and Flex Builder is built on Eclipse which is open source. A lot of us use open source software without even realising it is open source.
If Adobe are happily using/releasing open source stuff then you can be sure there is nothing to worry about.
