Yo! thanks for the reply. I recently installed a non-licensed vista x86 to see if it works and it did. I now uninstalled it and tried to install the one i originally have vista ultimate x64. but sigh. it still shows those super special annoying BSODs.

you might be right though about the hardware.. would it help if I show you my specs?
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600
MOBO: gigabyte N650SLI-DS4L
GPU: Palit GeForce 8800GT ( using 2 of these for SLI stuff )
MEM: 2 x 2GB
HDD: SATA-II drives
DVDR: SATA DVDRW

whacha think? is it a board problem?
