Well it's been a while since I blogged so I think it's time I posted an update. I'm taking 17 hours at GT this semester and I'm working really hard to apply myself and do well at school instead of sitting back and letting school happen to me. It's working well so far and I've gotten good feedback from my professors in several classes.
I'm still shooting photography to pay rent and as a side project. High school sports take care of the bills, and college sports for the student paper...
Here are two basketball pictures from last week - leave comments if you have 'em.
This is Creekside High School's Varsity team - some of them can JUMP. Lighting on these shots is actually two bounced AlienBees AB800s - bounced off the ceiling of the arena. Shot with a Canon 30D and 24-70mm f/2.8L.

I figured I didn't have anything going and accepted the job - how bad could it be, right?
So this was a banquet for a high school football team - american football, that is. Their year had just ended and they were having...
Last night I had the opportunity to shoot some high school basketball - the trouble with not working a conventional job is you have to work nights. So while all my friends hung out and had fun, I sat on a hardwood floor from 4-10 PM and clicked away.
The girls' and guys' games are completely different. The girls' games have a LOT of turnovers and are typically very low scoring. The guys games are very intense - especially the Varsity game. The school I normally follow around -...
