Seem like the artist Steven R. Kutcher got tired of doing his own paintings so he now lets the hard work to bugs, he gives them all the materials they need, and just watch them do the job.
Woah, that's sweet stuff. How does he let the bugs do it?
Couple questions though - did you just link those pictures using html? And did the blog re-size them for you or were they the proper dimmensions up-front?
he puts the bugs in paint then makes the walk in the canvas, he uses lights to make them move to where he wants.
