Halftone Dots

An AS3 halftone screen style effect. It can be applied to your static or animated content clip by adding just two lines of ActionScript to an FLA.

Only the dots are opaque, so some interesting effects can be achieved by changing the background from the default white.

The algorithm is reasonably processor-intensive, but good performance can be achieved when the animation is limited to reasonably small areas.
